The Bloodline story will end at WrestleMania 41
The Bloodline angle has been one of the biggest angles in professional wrestling for the last few years. The moment Roman Reigns returned, called himself the Head of the Table, and aligned with Paul Heyman, this angle delivered some of the best moments in the industry. But it has also continued to drag on at points that have caused complaints from wrestling fans. With Survivor Series WarGames on the horizon, there’s speculation this will be the next big moment in the angle. Looking ahead, WrestleMania 41 must be the point where all things within the Samoan Dynasty come to an end.
Survivor Series WarGames is expected to have a big Bloodline Civil War contest. Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and perhaps Sami Zayn standing against Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. This match makes sense as the next escalation in the storyline. How should it end? With The Rock returning and making it clear that he’s the one that has been manipulating Sikoa’s strings from behind the scenes. The Rock won’t take part in the car crash that is a WarGames match, but he can and will appear at the end – just like he did a few weeks ago to stare down Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns versus The Rock is the target matchup for WrestleMania 41. The lead-up to it and the moment itself will be one of the headlining aspects of next year’s showcase. Roman will come through the victory to finally close the book on this career arc.
But what happens after that? This is the big question that looms after WrestleMania 41. The Bloodline angle involves eight names that hold prominent spots on the roster. Are The Usos back together permanently, even though Jey is enjoying a resurgence as a main event threat on WWE Monday Night Raw? Does Jacob Fatu get the real opportunity to become a top-level talent on SmackDown as many see him the best worker of the entire angle? What happens to the Guerrillas of Destiny who are no longer a top team at this point in their careers? Does Roman regain the WWE Undisputed Championship, or does he truly become even more of a part-time talent?
In a lot of ways, WWE fans have an appetite for something different with one of the biggest angles in the promotion. The Bloodline has been fun and important to building the momentum the company is seeing today. However, with the direction things are taking, WrestleMania 41 will be the last chapter of The Bloodline angle with that book finally being closed and placed on the shelf where it belongs.
