If Seth Rollins is going to miss an extended period of time due to shoulder surgery, WWE will have to make a pivot in the Monday Night Raw main event. WWE boasts a stacked roster, with several names who’ve been champion throughout their great career, and others looking to hold the championship for the first time. If there’s a need to make a long-term shift at the top of the show, here are three performers who could fill that gap with the ball in their hands.
Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker is the easiest pick to make at this time. The expectation was that he’d eventually step out of Seth Rollins’s shadow and take that title from around his waist. The question is when will WWE pull the proverbial trigger on this development? Will we see CM Punk versus Bron Breakker at the November 1 Saturday Night’s Main Event? Or will WWE go another route that sees him crowned at another show? These are the questions fans are asking, but the main thought is that Breakker with Paul Heyman behind him is the route to go for the main event on WWE Monday Night Raw.
LA Knight
LA Knight isn’t a spring chicken, but there’s a ground swell of support to see him get his time at the top of the division. For the last three years, the push behind LA Knight has continued to grow, with fans continued to be let down as he falls short when the spotlight shines the brightest. 2026 should be the year that LA Knight finally captures a top title on one of the two main roster shows. While this wouldn’t be the best way to see it happen, this could be the path that finally gets Knight the opportunity to show that he belongs as a champion.
AJ Styles
This is a long shot, but a fan favorite addition. AJ Styles has announced that he plans to retire in 2026. His career spanned nearly three decades, and he’s recognized as one of the best ever to do it. Coming off that great match against John Cena, it would be a big deal to see Styles get inserted in the main event picture. In a perfect world, Styles would get one more run as a world champion before walking away from in-ring action. Seth Rollins’s injury opens a door where that could happen, and Styles could help build the future of the men’s division on his way out next year.
