Fans have lauded WWE NXT for having a stacked women’s division, but news on Monday, April 28, points to two big names making the move to Monday Night Raw. Roxanne Perez and Giulia are moving from NXT to Raw, as reported by PWInsider.
“It appears Giulia and Roxanne Perez are being called up to the Raw roster. They both wore ‘Raw Debut’ patches that will be used by Topps in future trading cards, indicating that their appearances last week were indeed official debuts on the main roster. We are working to confirm that is the case, but since so many have asked, I wanted to address it.
Perez is scheduled to face Ripley on the April 28 episode of Monday Night Raw, so this is being seen as the next step in the altercation from the previous week. Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky were having a back-and-forth match before Giulia and Perez broke things up, only for Ripley to come to the ring to run off the duo.
Roxanne Perez and Giulia are main event threats
Roxanne Perez and Giulia are two big additions to what is already a strong roster on Monday Night Raw. This is also an opportunity for WWE to increase the number of women who show up on the show and remain top contenders in the division. The division frequently rotates around Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Liv Morgan, without much opening for the other talented performers on the roster. Perez and Giulia should be a breath of fresh air to change that direction.
The main roster needed a boost of women who are main-event ready. Perez and Giulia both boasted strong resumes before stepping foot in WWE. They’d only further increase their places on the list of best women’s wrestlers in the business with strong NXT runs, where both ladies captured the WWE NXT Women’s Championship.
Will that translate to the main roster? Perhaps, look at some of the matches and potential feuds that are available. Iyo Sky against either one of those ladies would be a strong feud, especially against Giulia. Then there’s the returning Kairi Sane and Asuka, who could also factor into the situation. Bayley, Becky Lynch, Lyra Valkyria, Shana Baszler, Zoey Stark – there are a host of women who would be great opponents for either.
Main roster WWE needed a boost post-WrestleMania. Moving Giulia and Roxanne Perez to the main roster would be a strong start as both women would be immediate threats to all the championships.
