The Money in the Bank briefcase is an opportunity to the big time for any man or women who pulls it down. It has put many performers in a position to capture a championship that seemed far outside their grasps. The same is set for 2025 was the PLE goes down on Saturday, June 7. Looking at both the men's and women's ladder matches, LA Knight and Naomi are poised to capture the briefcase and put themselves in position for a major push.
Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano vs. Penta El Zero Miedo [MITB Ladder Match]
LA Knight is the ideal candidate to win MITB this year because he already graduated from the mid card with two transitional U.S. Title reigns and has improved significantly since being incredibly over with the fanbase within his first two years on the main roster. Labeling him as merely as a walking catchphrase in this stage of his career would be criminal, as his skilled in-ring work and witty mic work has proven his potential to become a future world champion in the main event scene. The MITB Briefcase would be his ticket to the gold and help redeem him from poor booking in the mid card.
Prediction: LA Knight
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch [Intercontinental Championship]
Lyra Valkyria has had a boring title reign when it comes to storylines and character development, but matches on Raw have been consistently spectacular and her feud with Becky Lynch has been a lot of fun. Naysayers may argue that Lyra should win here since she is the rising talent who needs it more. However, she already got that victory over Becky at Backlash. Since Becky turned heel by heinously attacking Bayley backstage to force her out of Mania and betraying her trust with her star pupil in Lyra, she should win the title to solidify her heel turn and feud with a returning Bayley this summer.
Prediction: Becky Lynch
Jacob Fatu (c) vs. Damian Priest [U.S. Championship]
Damian Priest called out Jacob Fatu on SmackDown to challenge him for the U.S. Title, so it seems that WWE is setting this match up for either MITB or Night of Champions. Jacob Fatu won't lose the title this soon after winning it from LA Knight at Mania. It would be cool to see Damian Priest solidify his victory over Drew McIntyre inside the Steel Cage at Saturday Night Main Event by winning the title here, but he has no specific storyline to win here. Instead, Fatu will continue his reign into the summer and finish his story with Solo Sikoa, who still has some beef with him in the Bloodline.
Prediction: Jacob Fatu
Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Guilia vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer [MITB Ladder Match]
Naomi is the ideal candidate to win MITB this year because she needs to solidify her heel turn on Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair with a big PPV victory, as she failed to defeat Cargill at WrestleMania. Her new "proceed with caution" character has been eminently compelling, and it has "future world champion" written all over it. Also, it would be pretty cool to see her stylistically wrap "caution" tape around the MITB Briefcase when she wins it. Naomi has been overlooked in the main event scene for a decade, but she is in her element now and WWE would be foolish to pass this opportunity up.
Prediction: Naomi
John Cena & Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso [Tag Match]
There is no legitimate reason for John Cena and Logan Paul to win here, especially since Logan Paul is the only one out of the four contestants who can eat a pinfall and not be hurt by it. Cena and Uso are both champions who should not be eating pinfalls in non-title matches. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes just returned since losing the WWE Title at WrestleMania to Cena, so he really needs this victory to regain momentum and get back in the title picture. When Cena loses this tag match, he will get his comeuppance against Jey Uso at Night of Champions and against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso
