WWE is fresh off an awkwardly booked NXT show last week, where Oba Femi retained the NXT Title against Iron Survivor Je'Von Evans, Fatal Influence went face to face in a segment with Iron Survivor, Kendal Grey, Sol Ruca, who felt she was more deserving of Iron Survivor, defeated Wren Sinclair to get one step closer to the World Title, Shiloh Hill had an impressive debut, Kelani Jordan earned a statement victory against Jordynne Grace, Tatum Paxley conveyed she still wants her revenge on Izzi Dame, and Tony D'Angelo attacked Ethan Page, as it seems he is going after all the gold in NXT.
On this week's episode of WWE NXT, three matches have been officially scheduled: Joe Hendry vs. Myles Borne vs. Dion Lennox vs. Leon Slater in an NXT Title #1C Match, Blake Monroe (c) vs. Thea Hail for the NXT North American Title, and Hank & Tank vs. OTM in a Tag Team Match. It will also be interesting to see if Ricky Saints will explain his heel turn last week after screwing Je'Vons in his NXT Title Match with Oba Femi. For all the fans who want memes and clownery for pro wrestling shows, they are in the right place. Without further ado, here are the official NXT Predictions for Dec 16, 2025.
Joe Hendry vs. Myles Borne vs. Dion Lennox vs. Leon Slater [NXT Title #1C Match]
WWE made the asinine decision to book Je'Von Evans to cash in his Iron Survivorship early and squander yet another title shot to Oba Femi last week on NXT in a match that ended in a shocking betrayal by Ricky Saints. It looks like Saints wanted to invoke his rematch clause and was upset that Evans jumped the line and not wait until New Years Evil to cash in his title shot. Now that Femi needs a new opponent, the losers of the Iron Survivor Challenge will face off to determine the next challenger. Since NXT is booked like a circus, Joe Hendry will win because he is the ultimate meme.
Prediction: Joe Hendry
Blake Monroe (c) vs. Thea Hail [NXT North American Title]
Blake Monroe was set to defend her title against a mystery opponent, as orchestrated by Ava Raine, last week on NXT. The best guesses for that opponent would have been either Lola Vice, who is quite directionless in NXT, or Thea Hail, who is long overdue for a championship in NXT. The latter was the one who answered the challenge last week, and she made Monroe tap out with the Kimura Lock but the bell never rang. This week, Hail will get an official title match and an opportunity to make Monroe tap out when it actually counts, but Monroe will dig deep into her inner doppelganger and prevail.
Prediction: Blake Monroe
Hank & Tank vs. OTM [Tag Team Match]
Hank and Tank are set to return to a dead tag division ever since losing the tag titles to Dark State at NXT HeatWave in August. This should be an easy return victory for Hank & Tank, as they are former NXT Tag Champs who should maintain their credibility with sufficient momentum. OTM have been quite irrelevant throughout 2025, so they really have no business ruining a "welcome back" party. Hank and Tank will likely use this momentum to get their title rematch against Dark State. But truly, the fans are better off changing the channel to Blues Clues during this bathroom break of a match.
Prediction: Hank & Tank
