WWE is fresh off an awkwardly booked NXT Deadline event, where Oba Femi retrieved the NXT Title from Ricky Saints and earned an opportunity to battle WWE Champ Cody Rhodes at SNME this Saturday, Izzi Dame solidified her heel turn with a victory over her former, betrayed friend in the Culling, Tatum Paxley, Ethan Page retained his North American Title against his AAA rival, Mr. Iguana, who stole his car, and Kendal Grey and Je'Von Evans became the Iron Survivors to respectively earn world title shots against Jacy Jayne and Oba Femi at NXT New Years Evil on January 6, 2026.
The biggest talking point this week is the noteworthy Tony D'Angelo return in the main event of NXT Deadline and his stare-off with Oba Femi after attacking Iron Survivor, Je'Von Evans. The Mafia Leader has been gone from NXT for almost a year, so he definitely has some explaining to do at the start of this show. The fans will await to see if he will have a character repackage or will continue to swim with the fishes. In other news, due to dissension, Sol Ruca and Zaria will also put their friendship to the test five days before Ruca's biggest match of her career with Bayley at SNME this Saturday.
On this week's episode of WWE NXT, two matches have been officially scheduled: Blake Monroe (c) vs. Mystery Opponent for the NXT North American Title, and Jordynne Grace vs. Kelani Jordan in an Grudge Match. Also, Hank and Tank are set to return to a dead tag division ever since losing the tag titles to Dark State, and Shiloh Hill is set to debut in NXT after what was a peculiar squirrel vignette that aired on NXT Deadline. Blake Monroe (c) vs. Lola Vice [NXT North American Title]
Blake Monroe is set to defend her title against a mystery opponent, as orchestrated by Ava Raine. The best guess for that opponent would be Lola Vice, who is quite directionless in NXT after failing to win the world title. She does not have any rivalries going on right now and just lost the Iron Survivor Match. Since WWE refused to pair her up with Damian Priest for his feud with Aleister Black and Zelina Vega, booking her as the challenger for this title seems likely. Thea Hail is the only other option that comes to mind. However, no matter who answers the challenge, they will lose to Monroe.

Jordynne Grace vs. Kelani Jordan [Personal Rivalry]
Jordynne Grace and Kelani Jordan had a heated moment in the Iron Survivor Challenge. Like Monroe, Grace is someone who should be in the main event scene of NXT and should be protected. It's baffling that she has lost so many world title shots as well as the Iron Survivor Challenge recently at NXT Deadline. The story was right there for her to finish after she was screwed out of the world title picture at WWE Evolution in July against Jacy Jayne. It's only a matter of time until she gets her revenge against the champion, and Kelani Jordan is merely a stepping stone towards that goal.
