WWE NXT Roadblock is scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on Tuesday, March 11th. This will be the final PLE for WWE NXT leading up to WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas when Stand & Deliver will take place.
Compared to last year's NXT Roadblock PLE, this year's match card looks much more promising and stacked with great matches. New additions to the roster including Jordynne Grace, Ricky Saints and the unknown new faction has raised the excitement level over the past month for the brand. All will likely make appearances on the show and Grace will have a match.
In addition to the new superstars, the incorporation of TNA superstars has also been a fun and unpredictability as well. This year's card features three current TNA wrestlers and one former. Here is an official preview and predictions for NXT Roadblock.
TNA World Tag Team Championship: Nathan Frazer & Axiom vs. The Hardy Boyz
Fraxiom continue to show why they're the greatest tag team in the world. They have an opportunity at NXT Roadblock to face off against one of the greatest tag teams ever -- The Hardy Boyz. The Hardy Boyz are back in WWE for the time being thanks to the partnership with TNA. In pursuit to withstand their all-time great status, they're defend the TNA World Tag Team Championships against Fraxiom. Essentially, it's new school versus old school. Prediction: The Hardy Boyz retain the titles.
Jordynne Grace vs. Roxanne Perez
It feels like the finals days in NXT for Roxanne Perez. After losing the NXT Women's Championship to Giulia at New Year's Evil, she has been on a great run. She was the final two in the women's Royal Rumble before being eliminated by Charlotte Flair. She also participated in the women's Elimination Chamber match for a chance at the Women's World title at WrestleMania.
With her days on the brand being numbered before heading to the main roster, she now has a tough challenge with NXT women's division newcomer Jordynne Grace. They've faced each other before with Perez coming out victorious, but this time feels different. As an official superstar of WWE, Grace is in NXT to wreak havoc on the women's division. That mission begins with getting revenge on Perez. Prediction: Grace defeats Perez via pinfall.
New York City Street Fight: Je'Von Evans vs. Ethan Page
In what is one of the best feuds going on in NXT, Je'Von Evans and Ethan Page are squared to end their intense rival at NXT Roadblock. It will likely end in a New York City Street Fight. Page has had the upper hand in this feud from the start. He's sidelined Evans for a few weeks due from his vicious attacks in pursuit to take away Evans' smile. With tensions at an all-time high, this will be a straight-up fight and a great way to end the feud. It also feels like whoever wins this feud will be next in line for a title shot. Prediction: Evans defeats Page via pinfall.
NXT Championship Match: Oba Femi vs. Moose
The NXT Championship will be on the line tonight as the champion Oba Femi defends the title against TNA X-Division Champion, Moose. Once again, WWE nailing this partnership with TNA and getting the most out of for both parties. Two powerhouses going head-to-head as the faces of their respective men's divisions. Moose is also a two-time TNA World Champion. This match-up comes strictly from the IWC. They've been asking for it for quite some time and the time has come tonight. Prediction: Femi retains.
Winner-Take-All NXT Women's Championship & NXT Women's North American Championship: Giulia vs. Stephanie Vaquer
The main event will feature two real-life and on-screen best friends in Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer going head-to-head in a winner-take-all championship match. Both women were brought to WWE with so much hype and anticipation and it all comes down to this. There is no doubt that both women are the future of the women's division in WWE once they reach the main roster as well.
What makes this match more interesting is both titles being on the line, so one women walks out with both belts. It has already been made clear that whoever wins, the belts will not be unified. With that being said, it feels like one of these women will be called up after Stand & Deliver (if not before). There was some speculation that Giulia has been dealing with some injuries and that's why this made a title for title match. Whichever you believe, this match will not only be match of the night, but one of the greatest matches in NXT history. Prediction: Giulia wins.
