WrestleMania 41 is this weekend, and the WWE has made seven matches official for Night 1: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso for the World Title, Jade Cargill vs. Naomi, Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano (a.k.a. Chad Gable), LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu for the U.S. Title, War Raiders (c) vs. The New Day for the World Tag Titles, Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Title, and CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns in the main event.

The following will provide three reasons New Day should dethrone War Raiders in what should be a potential show-stealer of sorts.

Why The New Day should dethrone War Raiders:

The New Day have never won together at WrestleMania

The fact that the greatest tag team in modern history has not won a tag match together at WrestleMania yet is mind-blowing. Kofi did earn his Mania Moment in a singles capacity at Mania 35.

However, as a unit, The New Day always lost their tag matches together at the show of shows. They lost to Cesaro and Tyson Kidd at Mania 31. They lost to League of Nations at Mania 32. They lost to Bludgeon Brothers at Mania 34. They lost to AJ Styles and Omos at Mania 37. They lost to Sheamus and Ridge Holland at Mania 38. Henceforth, they are 0-5 at Mania. The streak must end this year.

War Raiders have had a stale title reign

War Raiders have had a pretty uneventful title reign after dethroning the Judgment Day around Christmas time. This is unfortunate, as the tag division has been booked as an afterthought for many months.

This has more to do with faulty administrative booking than it has to do with the champs themselves. However, this stale title reign also leaves no valid reason for them to keep the titles. War Raiders haven't even been booked on PPV to defend those titles since winning them. This just gives off the vibes of a transitional title run, similar to Nakamura's U.S. Title run on SmackDown for example.

The New Day can garner major heat in spite of Big E.

New Day need to solidify their heel turn on Big E back in November on the 10-Year New Day Anniversary. This will give them good reason to blame Big E for their past failures at Mania and even rub it in his face when they win the tag titles for more nuclear heel heat.

This will garner more sympathy for Big E in lieu of his hopeful return, as the audience begins to grow even more animosity toward this villainous and heartless team of Kingston and Woods. Hopefully, WWE books this title run with considerable detail and long-term booking due to its mass potential for top-tier storytelling.
