WWE NXT is the brand where new stars are made for the promotion’s future. Many are praising Shawn Michaels and company for how they are developing the women’s division. Jaida Parker has been tagged as someone to watch, and WWE is putting her right back into the title picture after the March 18 edition of WWE NXT.
Jaida Parker is one of those performers who just “fits” the WWE mold of doing things. The company has long had a formula of sorts for building both men and women on the roster. NXT has become a place where young performers are expected to sink or swim, and Parker has taken that opportunity to prove she’s ready to swim with some of the best on Tuesday nights.
Parker is 26 years old and has only two years of experience in wrestling. All of which come within the WWE system. According to Cagematch, she has 63 matches on her ledger, but it’s clear that WWE sees something in her talent. She’s given the opportunity to cut extended promos, and she’s consistently featured against some of the top names. She was even one of the few names from NXT to take part in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble, which is a major moment for any performer, especially at this point in her career.
Jaida Parker inserts herself into Jordynne Grace versus Stephanie Vaquer
It seemed like Jordynne Grace versus Stephani Vaquer was the right next step to take things for the WWE NXT women’s division. Yet Parker interrupted that moment, attacking Grace and claiming that she was next in line. That makes it more difficult to predict what is next.
Grace is still too “new” to WWE to take losses at this point. She picked up a win against NXT’s biggest former champion in Roxanne Perez, so having her lose to Parker wouldn’t make sense. If Parker truly is the next contender to face Vaquer, then it wouldn’t make sense to see her lose either. Perhaps this is leading toward a triple-threat match at NXT Stand & Deliver, but WWE leans too heavily on that match style to help its young stars work their way into the main event.
This is part of the issue with putting two belts on one individual. A triple-threat match with the right stipulations would help get the NXT North American Championship off Vaquer while allowing her to keep the NXT Women’s Championship and move the feud with Grace forward. There’s an opportunity here, let’s see if WWE seizes it and uses the moment to elevate Parker into a title reign.
