- WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was recently a guest on fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross podcast (Ross Report) when asked if he was ever planned to do some with the Rock, he said:
“I can remember many, many years ago, as I came back. Pat Patterson asked about that and I said, ‘Sure, whoever you want.’ But he [The Rock] wasn’t interested, and that was it. But I liked anybody that I hadn’t been in the ring with.”
That would be a dream match up, but at the time (2002) The Rock was so much into Hollywood that it did not make sense.
- Used to WWE would release talents, but now WWE has a new way of dealing with things. People think that in WWE as a way to downplay controversy and negative feelings when people leave the company, that they have chosen to just let contracts run out instead of suddenly announcing releases.
Usually you would see a ton of talent be let go twice a year which was called black Friday or Future Endeavored. In the past few years, WWE has not done that and now it seems they will not.
