5. Samoa Joe

In the past, it has been reported that WWE has shown little to no interest in Samoa Joe when his contracts with TNA have expired, but as Bob Dylan noted in 1964, “Times they are a changin'”.

Gone are the days when you needed to look like Hulk Hogan to be able to be in the main event, as superstars like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk have proven over the last few years that pure wrestling ability is oftentimes more than enough to endear yourself to the crowd.

It’s clear that Joe has that in bunches, and it would be an internet wrestling fan’s dream to see him take on the likes of Bryan, Cesaro and even Cena again. His skills between the ropes are still some of the best of the business even though he’s spent nearly half of his life in the ring. With that experience, he would also come with the benefit of not having to spend all that much time in developmental getting used to the WWE style.

His major drawback really isn’t a fault of his own, just a way that Vince McMahon has done business in the past. Typically, he has not been too keen on helping out wrestlers who made their name known on a national scale elsewhere (Diamond Dallas Page in WWF, anyone?). Chances are he wouldn’t be booked in a way that best suited him.
