Rob Van Dam defeats Cesaro

Mike Smith’s Take:

This was a solid match. These guys work pretty well together. I just don’t have much to say about it though, I’m stunned RVD won.

If they’re going to spin their wheels with Cesaro until they’re ready to push him, he might be better off returning to NXT for a few months.

Rob Wolkenbrod’s Take:

With the recent reports that RVD was likely going to take a hiatus after this match, I guess they wanted him to go out as a winner.

It was a decent match. The work done it in was fine for the pre-show and warmed everybody up for what was a fantastic night of matches. The one question I have is what are they doing with Cesaro? He’s a fantastic wrestler but how can fans take him seriously anymore?
