Chris Jericho, Triple H, Randy Orton, Kane, Seth Rollins, John Cena and Roman Reigns promo

This edition of the “Highlight Reel” was scheduled to feature Orton with Y2J.

Y2J noted that it’s interesting that his Labor Day guest is Orton, considering Orton has never worked a day in his life, but Triple H’s music hit, and he walked out with Orton, Kane and Seth Rollins.

After an awesome back-and-forth between Y2J and Triple H, Triple H announced that he was reconsidering putting Cena in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match against Brock Lesnar.

Orton, Kane, Rollins and Y2J took turns explaining why they deserved a shot, when Cena interrupted “The Ayatollah of Rock and Ro-“.

Cena came out and told Triple H that if he took his title shot from him, he would sue and take the company right from Triple H.

Triple H mocked Cena for using that as his defense. He said that Cena got dominated by Lesnar at SummerSlam, and that he’s not sure another match between the two is best for business. Triple H said that he still thinks Cena being world champion could be best for business, but he knows Cena’s career ending at Lesnar’s hands would definitely not be.

Rollins told Triple H that Cena should get the rematch, as he reminded Triple H that they always have “Plan B”. Orton started to agree with Rollins, and said that if anybody deserves to face the winner of that match, it would be Orton.

Y2J mocked Orton for losing every title shot he’s had recently, and every big match, including his loss to Reigns at SummerSlam. Orton said that Reigns’ win didn’t mean anything, and that he would drop Reigns right now if he was there. Cue Reigns’ music.

Reigns came out and dared Orton to “drop him”. Triple H cut them all off and said they all had a claim to the match with Lesnar, and he made a six-man tag match for later: Y2J, Cena and Reigns vs. Orton, Kane and Rollins.

This was a really awesome promo. All 7 men kept up with each other, and made getting the title shot seem important. This not only sold Night of Champions, but also will keep people tuned for the the main event.
