No one else in this match is championship material right now aside from Sami Zayn and pinning the title on him this early would be a surprise, so I expect Owens to retain. That way we can have a longer feud between Owens and Zayn in the months following Mania, with Zayn eventually becoming champion in what could be one of the best moments of the year.

It doesn’t matter how many other guys are in the match, we’re getting a Ladder War at WrestleMania. Zayn vs. Owens is the big story, as their history even just within WWE/NXT is setting this up to be violent and brutal. But with so many other participants, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a guy like Ziggler come out with the title, letting Owens and Zayn continue their feud free of a title picture, or possibly elevate Owens into the main event scene as a challenger for the world title.
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler

This match serves two purposes. The first purpose will be get the crowd hot. There is little doubt that the Intercontinental championship ladder match will open the show on Sunday, The match will be filled with exciting spots and bumps that will surely get the crowd going. That is the first purpose. The second purpose of this match is to further the feud between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Owens and Zayn will be the feud of the next generation. Both superstars are destined for main event status will be locked in battle with one another throughout their career. The seeds to that will continue to be planted on Sunday. As for a winner, Owens holds onto his title.

While this match should be entertaining, I can’t see most of the participants having a real shot at winning the title. It’s possible Zayn could get the nod, to propel their feud and really make Owens mad, but he’s pretty new to the main roster.

This match is less about the title and more about a rehersal for the inevitable Owens vs. Zayn match. They have already proven it can work in NXT and their hard work will soon pay off on a much bigger stage. Unfortunately for everyone else, their role is to be the glorified cheerleaders who also happen to get punched in the face or thrown off a ladder. We can expect a few of the usual suspects like Ziggler and Miz to shine but they will ultimately come up short.

We can’t have every single title held by babyfaces when the night comes to a close. For that reason, the best pure heel on the roster manages to retain his beloved title, and will go in to a proper main roster feud with his long-time adversary and friend Zayn.
Prediction: Kevin Owens

Taking the title off Kevin Owens wouldn’t make much sense. The only other possibilities to win includes Sami Zayn, who hasn’t been introduced enough to the main roster crowd, and Dolph Ziggler, who has no momentum. Owens deserves a longer reign with the belt before Zayn eventually wins it off him.

This should be an excellent match and hopefully will open the main show. Having it as a 7 man ladder match will setup a number of awesome spots but still should leave room for some story telling between the three favorites to win, Owens, Ziggler, and Sami Zayn. In the end however I expect Kevin Owens to retain the title in a hard fought victory.

Although a bit ill-conceived, this match has the potential to be the show stealer. There are seven young workers in this match, all looking to break out of the mid-card. This means that there will be some wild spots and great action. However, there doesn’t seem to be much of an advantage to any of these men outside of Owens being IC champion right now. Look for Zayn for to come very close to snatching the belt before Owens screws him over and retains his title. This will lead to a lengthy post-mania feud between the former besties.

Owens has made the IC title relevant in the way it hasn’t been for a long time. WWE isn’t likely to mess with that, just as they aren’t likely to blow a huge money-making feud like Owens/Zayn by having it not be for the title. Expect Owens to retain.
