WWE personality Renee Young was given a chance to act as a commentator for an episode of Raw on Aug. 13. In an interview with Mark Henry and Dave LaGreca on Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio, Young explains how the experience felt and how she hopes to get the chance again.

With a growing fan base, ambition and drive, WWE personality Renee Young had the chance to take a seat at the commentators’ table and share her insights on the Aug. 13 episode of WWE’s Raw.

In an interview with Mark Henry and Dave LaGreca on Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio, a show designed specifically to talk about the professional world of wrestling, Young responded to praise from Henry and fans, and made clear her desire to return to the mic.

"“I hope so! Oh my gosh, I would be so happy if that was the case. All I could think of afterwards – and not even afterwards, during – you know sometimes when you’re in the moment of something happening and you don’t get to absorb it all? I mean I guess during a three-hour show you do get a moment to absorb it, but all I could keep thinking was, ‘man, do I want to keep doing this.’It felt like so much fun and it felt – it just felt right. It felt right to me, and I loved that. It was great.”"

Young also illustrated her admiration for fellow commentators Corey Graves and Michael Cole. Young and Cole recently finished commentary on 32 matches at the Mae Young Classic Tournament, slated to premiere on the WWE Network Sept. 5.

"“I’ve always been able to understand how great Corey Graves is…I mean I just know him so well, and I’ve seen his sort of journey to get where he’s at, but the respect I have for what Michael Cole does is on another level, right now. That guy is the best of the best."

Fans would recognize Young’s previous work ringside at NXT and Superstars, though she admittedly as grown, since then.

"“Definitely having reps under my belt of doing the Kickoff shows and pre-show and post shows I think I did have such a better grasp now from when I did commentary years ago in NXT when I was so new working in this company.I really didn’t know what I was doing. Where now I’ve had some time to get in some more reps in at the booth down at the Performance Center and the Kickoff shows and everything, I just have a better idea this time around – keeping my voice down and trying not to get too geeked out about the whole thing.”"

Fans and professionals all agree Young was a success at her new opportunity, and hope to see more of her talent, sooner than later.
