Tables, Ladders, And Chairs… HELL YEAH!

Tonight on PPV, WWE presents TLC, Tables Ladders, and Chairs!  This offering features seven matches, four of which will be run under some sort of TLC stipulation.  Let’s run down the card for the evening and who I think SHOULD and WILL win:

ECW Championship Match – Ladder Match
Christian (Champion) vs. Shelton Benjamin

SHOULD: Benjamin WILL: Christian

It’s been a few PPVs since we’ve seen the ECW Title defended on a broadcast, but tonight’s match could absolutely make up for it.  You have two of the brightest ladder match stars in WWE history going at it for the glory of ECW.  “Capt. Charisma” Christian and “The Gold Standard” have vowed to steal the show at TLC.  When it comes down to it, I think Benjamin deserves the title.  He’s been working hard, helping to put over some of the young guys that he should have a title run.  However, we have to remember it’s WWE we’re talking about, and I just don’t think they’re going to take the belt off Christian tonight.

Intercontinental Championship Match
John Morrison (Champion) vs. Drew McIntyre

SHOULD: McIntyre WILL: McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was proclaimed when he first walked into WWE as a future World Champion.  Well in order to get from point A to point B the route goes right through the Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison.  For awhile, it looked as if Dolph Ziggler was going to appear in the picture, but he’s fallen off the radar.  McIntyre’s got a mean streak and he’s not afraid to use questionable means to get the victory.  I believe that tonight we will have a NEW Intercontinental Champion and he’s the Scottsman, Drew McIntyre.

Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre – Intercontinental Championship Match

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

SHOULD: Kingston WILL: Kingston

This is the third meeting for this pair.  In the first, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase attacked Kingston before the bell even rang.  In the second, Guest Host Mark Cuban gave Kingston the win via quick count.  Now it’s one on one.  I’m hoping that some decree will be made that Rhodes & DiBiase must remain in the back, because it seems like they’re always involved in the outcome.  This time though, I just have a feeling like it’s not going to matter and that Kingston is going to transform into Superman and come out with a victory.

Women’s Championship Match
Michelle McCool (Champion) vs. Mickie James

SHOULD: Mickie WILL: Mickie

Over the course of the past month, Michelle McCool and her BFF Layla have been trying to run Mickie James out of Smackdown by making fun of her calling her “Piggy James” and forcing her to tears!  Tonight is the night for retribution!  Mickie finally gets her hands on Michelle and I think it could get a little nasty… Cue Joey Styles “CAAATFIIIIIIGHT!!!!”  In the end, I believe that we will have a NEW Women’s Champion, Mickie James!

WWE Championship Match – Table Match
John Cena (Champion) vs. Sheamus

SHOULD: Cena WILL: Cena

Finally, we get a match up for the WWE Championship that we have not seen before.  Sheamus has made an absolute impression on John Cena and I think it’s going to notch Cena up to a whole new level.  While this may be the easiest way for someone to win a title, by putting someone through a table, I do NOT believe that Sheamus will be crowned champion by night’s end.  The “Celtic Warrior” will have his time soon enough, but tonight, Cena retains.

World Heavyweight Championship Match – Chair Match
Batista vs. The Undertaker (Champion)

SHOULD: Undertaker WILL: Undertaker

After two straight weeks of being attacked with a chair, Friday on Smackdown the Undertaker took matters into his own hands showing that he fears no man, including Batista.  Batista has proven to the world by destroying his former best friend, Rey Mysterio, that he’s willing to do anything to become a champion again!  This match should be a battle, but my guess is that Batista’s head will wind up being Tombstoned into a chair and the “Dead Man” will retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Unified Tag Team Championship Match – TLC Match
DX (Shawn Michaels & Triple H) vs. Chris Jericho & Big Show (Champions)

SHOULD: JeriShow WILL: JeriShow

The stage is set. The driving factor in this match up is that DX has NEVER been Tag Team Champions ever!  JeriShow looks to keep it that way!   If JeriShow loses, RAW fans will NEVER see Chris Jericho again because he must go back to Smackdown!  This will be one of the most brutal matches of the year, especially when you have the Big Show swinging weapons.  TLC matches shorten careers!   This match will be very entertaining, but to the DX Army, I think you’re going to be disappointed because I believe JeriShow is going to pull out the win and continue to gloat about how they are “the best at what they do!”

WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV begins at 8pm on the East and 5pm on the West.  I’ll be back with the results tomorrow morning!
