We’re starting to get down to business in NXT.  The first elimination is only two weeks away and every NXT Rookie is trying their best to impress the WWE Pros.  What challenge would the rookies face last night? Find out here:

Matt Striker introduces the eight NXT Rookies in the ring, and then warns them about the upcoming elimination and the prizes that the winner of the competition gets.  Then Striker introduces the next challenge called “Seal The Deal.”  It essentially has the rookies hawking programs to the crowd at fifteen bucks a pop!

  • Challenge takes place throughout the evening, results given at shows end.

The Miz with Daniel Bryan vs. Skip Sheffield with William Regal

  • Just as bell is about to ring, The Miz takes the mic.  He can barely talk because of the bruise on his face from Big Show‘s KO punch last night.  He gets out that he was sucker punched and due to that, Daniel Bryan is replacing him in this match up.

WINNER: Sheffield via pin fall after hitting a Piggy-Back Jawbreaker

QUICK THOUGHTS:

After watching last night’s episode, I had to ask myself, why do I watch this crap?!?  If it wasn’t for this blog, I probably wouldn’t watch NXT.  Last night was an absolute piece of garbage!  Most of the show was either commercials or the rookies selling programs to the crowd.  Let me put it in perspective for you.  Each guy got one minute to sell the programs as part of the challenge.  The main event between Sheffield and Bryan was a minute and a half in length from bell to bell.  That’s just sad!

The one thing I wish that WWE would do when it comes to the rookies is come up with names for their finishers already.  I’m getting sick of giving a vague description of what it looks like because I think it makes me sound like a crazy person.  Give me a name like Codebreaker, Spear, or Sharpshooter already, please!  I mean for the love, I just wrote Piggy-Back Jawbreaker for Sheffield’s finishing move…
