Going into the last episode of Impact before Slammiversary, what new matches would be added to the card, and who would get the last laugh going into this weekend? Find out what went down right here:
Video Package: Last week Mr. Anderson & Jeff Hardy officially join forces. Ric Flair‘s relationship with AJ Styles is falling apart? Rob Van Dam defeats three top competitors.
AJ Styles, Beer Money Inc., Kazarian & Desmond Wolfe come to the ring. Styles takes the mic, “Due to Ric Flair’s absence, I will take control of the situation; I learned we were in an eight man tag team match… Here’s the problem, there are five guys in the ring… Five doesn’t work, but look at The Beatles, The Fantastic Four, and The Four Horsemen… Kazarian, you’re out, hit the bricks!” They all start arguing.
- Flair’s music hits to everyone in the ring’s surprise, but it’s not the “Nature Boy” it’s Jay Lethal doing his Flair impression again. Lethal does the impression for a few minutes before introducing his team for tonight, Mr. Anderson & Abyss. AJ points out that’s only three people and they need four for their team… Lethal says Abyss counts as two!
- They hit the ring and a brawl breaks out. Jeff Hardy’s music hits, but instead of coming down the ramp, he comes from the crowd and bests the heels.

- Ray has no clue about the card thing, but he tells Neal, “I do know you’ve turned into an arrogant punk. I am one of the most legit tough guys in our business. I brought you into this business, and I can take you out.”
- Neal comes back, “I’ve never done anything to disrespect you. I’ve looked up to you!”
- Ray showing no remorse, “I don’t need your thank yous. You’re a nobody… You were a failure in the Navy and if I have anything to do with it, you’ll be a failure in the wrestling industry.
- Shannon Moore jumps on the mic and calls Ray a bully and Devon a puppet.
- Devon then is a little upset, but gives Shannon a pass for his comment… He then tells Ray “you need to get your head on straight and leave that kid alone!”
- Ray then attacks Neal from behind.
Video Package: From Sacrifice when Sting destroyed Jeff Jarrett leaving him a bloody mess.

Tag Team Title Match

- Match was all of 5 seconds because Morgan was still strapped to the back board in the middle of the ring, not moving.

WINNERS: Heels via pin fall after AJ hits the Styles Clash on Lethal
Backstage: Sting still not found by RVD, says that “he’ll be waiting for Robbie!”
Backstage: RVD looking for Sting, and gets jumped from behind again! They brawl throughout the back and then make their way into the Impact Zone and to the ring. RVD gains the advantage for a bit, but Sting turns it around again and then lays into RVD with a chair. Sting throws the belt back on RVD saying “It’s yours till Sunday…”
QUICK THOUGHTS:
I’m going to keep this short and sweet because there weren’t too many good points on this show…
The X-Division match was pretty good. The Angle/Red match was pretty good too… Wait a second, the X-Division guys have the best matches..? What a concept?!? I think they should run with that more often! Oh wait, how many times have I said this and TNA doesn’t give a shit anymore… Yeah…
The build up for Sting and RVD was good, but I’m hoping that the match doesn’t fall flat when Slammiversary rolls around this Sunday.
Oh, and I don’t know if you noticed, but the only women shown on the broadcast, are women that don’t get in the ring at all! Where the hell are the Knockouts?!? TNA you’re dropping the ball. Even WWE has a crappy Diva match on every broadcast, the least you can do is put one Knockout’s match on the card!
