AJ Lee and Paige promo/AJ Lee vs. Paige for the Divas Championship

AJ comes out, with Tamina Snuka, to talk about her WrestleMania title defense. She makes a ton of CM Punk references. Starting by saying how many days she held the title, then points out that she is the longest-reigning Divas Champion, and then references her “pipebomb.” AJ talks about conspiracies against her and “overcoming the odds,” like Punk so often did. AJ just decides to stop hiding it eventually, calling herself “The Best Diva in the World.” She gave a knowing eyebrow raise while the crowd cheers and chants Punk’s name after that line. It was really just one giant CM Punk reference, until the shocking debut of Paige from NXT. Paige comes out and congratulates AJ for retaining at WrestleMania, but AJ doesn’t like that Paige interrupted her. AJ then challenges her to a match, but Paige says she’s not ready. AJ slaps Paige, then challenges her again and puts her title on the line.

The crowd chants “This is Awesome” as the match gets started. AJ dominates Paige, quickly locking in the Black Widow. Paige fights out of the hold and hits her finisher, the Paige Turner, to win the title. The 21 year old, born in 1992, is the youngest WWE champion ever, and first 90s-born champion. The only bad thing in this segment was the finish, I hate to cast blame on either Diva, but it seemed like AJ didn’t take the move properly, but I’m not sure. It still looked good, it just didn’t look right. A great win and debut for Paige, who is one of the most talented women in the WWE has ever employed.
