Santino Marella and Emma backstage/Fandango vs. Santino Marella
Santino and Emma are doing jumping jacks as they make their way down the hall. Emma then pats Santino on the lower back, and Santino seemed to interpret it very positively.
Santino goes for the Cobra, but Layla steals it. Emma then tackles Layla from behind, while Santino gets the win with a sunset flip pin.
After the match, Emma returns the Cobra to Santino. Emma then goes for a high-five, but Santino is still wearing the Cobra and the Cobra hits Emma’s hand, making her right arm go numb and leaving Emma in tears. Emma then tries to fight through and dance anyway, but she only has use of her left hand. I laughed more at this than I’d like to admit.
As for the match, poor Fandango. He seemed ready to win the Intercontinental Championship last year, but got hurt and was replaced by Curtis Axel. Now, he’s stuck as Santino’s main rival because he had a valet, and Santino got paired with Emma. Fandango may not be a world champion, but he deserves more than this.
