Bray Wyatt and John Cena promo
Bray said that the only way to heal a snakebite is with the anti-venom, then he asked the audience which one he is in his feud with John Cena. He went on to talk about Cena being the enemy and the crowd cheered him on. Bray then started to talk to Jerry Lawler.
As Harper and Rowan go to bring Lawler to the ring, JBL tried to help him, but was taken out by a Harper clothesline, which is a huge boost to Harper’s finishing move. They drag Lawler in the ring, and prepare to hit him with Sister Abigail, but Cena makes a temporary save. Lawler was in peril again, as Harper and Rowan held Cena back, but The Usos made the save and helped Cena clear the ring.
Cena then grabbed the mic and told Bray that he doesn’t decide what’s evil and what’s not. He said that he will be the Last Man Standing at Payback, and for Bray, “Payback will be a…”, well, you know. This was a really awesome segment that saw two-thirds of the announce team taken out.
There was a funny moment when Cena grabbed the mic and said there was a lot of excitement around Bray’s arrival in WWE and Bray yelled out “I am a god”, and even Cena started to laugh for a second, before regaining his composure.
This segment got over Harper’s clotheline, and it allowed The Usos to make the save for Cena and Lawler. Well done, WWE.
