“Mark”

Definition: What all wrestling fans start out as. The state of wrestling knowledge before you ‘smarten up’ and realize certain things about the business young fans don’t know.

Alternate Definition: Any John Cena fan in the eyes of an angry commenter online.

“Marking Out”

Definition: When a fan gives a genuine reaction and forgets that it’s all predetermined.

EX: I marked out when Hogan, Austin, and the Rock were in the ring at the same time at WrestleMania 30

“Smark”

Definition: Fans that have watched pro wrestling for long enough to know the general outline of the business and how certain things go. They are typically very opinionated and passionate about their arguments.

Alternate Definition: People who blindly hate John Cena and love internet darlings that are a long-shot to become a main event talent.
