Wendi Richter (WWF Women’s Champion w/ Cyndi Lauper) vs. The Fabulous Moolah

Some terrific glasses and earrings by Moolah, with the dollar signs. Way ahead of her time with those.

“What happened at WrestlingMania?” — Oof, Cyndi.

You’d think that they would figure out a better way to get the wrestlers to the ring. Seriously looks like they’re just wading through the fans. That had to be annoying — especially for the women.

“Due to flagrant interference…Miss Cyndi Lauper has been banned from the floor during this match.”

We get underway with Moolah yanking on Richter’s hair, throwing her to the mat over and over. Is it weird that Moolah plays a better heel than any of the men on this program? Seriously — she’s tremendous with her heelish actions.

Richter catches Moolah with a dropkick that sends Moolah out to the concrete.  Off the subject, but I can’t tell if Moolah has lots of skin spots or if it’s the camera. I’m guessing the former.

Richter wins out of nowhere with a small package, as Lauper comes running back to the ring (and she gets yanked on by a fan for her troubles).

Richter defeats Moolah via pinfall

2 out of 5 stars — Slow paced match with Moolah playing a terrific heel and Richter just being there.
