4. Triple H

There are fans who claim that Triple H has only received opportunity in professional wrestling because of his marriage to Stephanie McMahon. Those fans don’t realize how driven, prototypical and deserving he truly is.

Most importantly, those fans don’t realize that they’re playing into exactly what makes Triple H one of the greatest heels ever.

The Cerebral Assassin has played every villainous role from the cowardly world champion to the backstabbing best friend. From the vengeance-hungry ex-Evolution leader to the misguided arrogance he displayed against Goldberg, Triple H has pulled it all off.

The fact that so many people are booing his every move shows how successful he’s been in portraying a heel.

Triple H was the leader of two of the greatest factions of all-time: Evolution and the post-HBK D-Generation X. Over the past 10 years, he’s been involved in feuds with every legitimate star WWE has managed to acquire, playing the heel in a vast majority of them.

Sorry, folks, but a sledgehammer to Shawn Michaels’ back—and backbreaker onto a chair—is just downright legendary stuff.

It’s the grit and vigor that most heels today lack, whether by choice or by design. It’s what separates the bad guys from the truly hated men in the world of wrestling.

As for that whole married to a McMahon thing, booing because of it does nothing but increase his power as a heel.
