WWE: Top 10 Heels of the Past 10 Years
7. Chris Jericho
If this were an all-time list, Chris Jericho would be closer to No. 1 than he is to No. 10. Due to his status as an on-and-off superstar over the past nine years or so, Y2J sees a bit of a dip on this list.
Nevertheless, he’s one of the best heels of the past 10 years.
Jericho’s greatest moments were in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but that doesn’t take away from what he’s done from 2004 to 2014. His return to WWE came as a face, but the first ever Undisputed Champion quickly placated those who were anxious for a heel turn.
Jericho turned on idol Shawn Michaels and, within moments, the world remembered why he’s one of the best of all-time.
The fact that Jericho is a part-time worker does hurt his ranking here. His legacy lessens the blow and his pure brilliance in a heel role makes him a legend, but it’s hard to ignore extended absences.
Perhaps I’m just bitter that I don’t get to watch more Y2J. After all, Raw is Jericho.
