Fandango and The Miz vs. Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler
Miz started the match with Ziggler, but as the bell rand, Miz warned Ziggler and the referee to watch his face and make sure that nothing happens to it.
There was some really good early action in this one, involving Ziggler and, both, Miz and Fandango. Sheamus was able to keep it up as the faces had control early on.
Best sequence in this match was Sheamus going for a running powerslam, but Fandango getting loose, landing on the apron, then dropping Sheamus’ neck on the top rope. As it seemed he was about to gain control, Fandango began to dance on the apron, allowing Sheamus to set up for 10 Beats of the Bodhran, but Miz went to help him. Sheamus took a swing at Miz’ face, but Miz got out of the way, allowing Fandango to gain control with a kick to the head on Sheamus.
After Sheamus slowed down the action with a White Noise, Ziggler got the hot tag and got a lot of offense in on Miz, including a Rough Ryder. Fandango came in to break up a pin attempt by Ziggler, Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick, Miz threw Sheamus out of the ring, then Ziggler hit Miz with a Zig Zag to get the win.
Miz was fantastic in this match, along with some good in-ring work, he was great again in protecting his face. I’m going to love watching him try and keep this up in the battle royal on Sunday.
Ziggler and Sheamus defeat Miz and Fandango via pinfall.
4 out of 5 stars – As far as thrown together TV tag team matches go, this was really awesome.
