WWE Raw Preview: The Go-Home Show Before Night of Champions
Who goes over in the mid-card feuds?
Dolph Ziggler’s battle with The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship has been very entertaining so far. The celebrity photos and the stunt double for Ziggler were both very creative segments and gave people a good laugh.
I’m really enjoying the pairing of Miz and Damien Sandow. It gives the latter something to do after dressing up as a different character every week for months. He’s investing in the character and its working.
WWE logic would mean that Miz will go over on WWE Raw tonight, followed by Ziggler getting the win on Sunday. We’ll see if that’s the case.
The less relevant of the two mid-card feuds has been Sheamus vs. Cesaro for the United States Championship.
It’s not a fresh feud. We’ve seen these two battle for the title just a few months ago. It doesn’t help that WWE devalues the title often too by making the Celtic Warrior lose to an opponent cleanly here and there.
Hopefully they give these two Superstars some time to make fans invested in their feud because most don’t seem to care.
Battle of the Hosses
For the past three weeks, Mark Henry and Rusev have been in a patriotic battle on Raw and SmackDown.
On the blue brand, we recently saw an International Arm Wrestling contest between the two, which ended up having Henry win round one and Rusev and Lana attacking him in the left-handed round.
The World’s Strongest Man will likely go over this week in an effort to make him as strong as possible to face the undefeated hero of the Russian federation, who is not losing next Sunday.
