WWE Night of Champions Predictions: Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins was supposed to face Roman Reigns at WWE Night of Champions, but a hernia has forced Reigns out of action, cancelling their match.

Even with no match, Mr. Money in the Bank is sure to let his presence be known on the pay-per-view, but how will he get involved? Will the return of a popular Superstar change Rollins’ plans? Daily DDT staff members Rob Wolkenbrod, Stephen Ajamie, Brian Rzeppa, Luke Sicari, and Mike Smith have some predictions.

Rob’s Take: I think that Seth Rollins will come down to the ring with Kane and call Reigns out to the ring, but he obviously won’t show up.

Instead, Dean Ambrose’s music plays, the crowd goes wild, and he comes down to fight him. We’ll get another month of a very fun feud between those two that might headline Hell in a Cell.

Stephen’s Take: The easiest thing to do is have Rollins come out and want to be announced the winner, but this time around, Dean Ambrose comes out and starts fighting with him. We get the “impromptu” match between the two that Dean wins, and a final match between the two at Hell in the Cell.

Brian’s Take: I could see Rollins coming out to talk down Reigns and how he was “scared to face him” or something of that nature, only to be interrupted by a returning Dean Ambrose. Although this certainly wasn’t what WWE originally planned, I think it would be much more interesting than what they had previously scheduled. Ideally, Ambrose would return by interrupting a Rollins MitB Cash-In, but the circumstances have changed and I think this is the way they’ll go with it.

Luke’s Take: I send my best of luck to Reigns and hope he has a speedy recovery but the show must go on.

So, now the questions begs. What’s going to happen with Rollins? Well, I had predicted earlier that Dean Ambrose will return at Night of Champions. This now seems even more likely. Expect Rollins to come at and cut a promo, bragging about his win by forfeit, much like he did at Battleground. I can then see Ambrose coming out and attacking Rollins, leading to an all-out brawl or a match.

Mike’s Take: Rollins is going to come out and let everybody know that he put down Reigns, just like he did to Dean Ambrose.

Rollins might even brag about doing what Randy Orton couldn’t, in taking out Reigns, and being, undoubtedly, the best member of The Shield.

Cue Ambrose.

Ambrose is going to come out, and the two men are going to have a vicious brawl, that will end with Ambrose getting the upper-hand.
