Number 4. Hideo Itami Makes an Impact

After his successful in-ring debut last week on NXT, Hideo Itami was attacked by The Ascension after the match, leaving the marquee signing lying in the ring. This all started after The Ascension crashed Itami’s introduction to the NXT Universe at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way. This feud is far from over though.

The Ascension used their rematch clause for the NXT Tag Team Champions this week on NXT, taking on the Lucha Dragons. In what was an extremely entertaining affair, it looked like The Ascension were going to win back their titles, until Itami’s music hit and out came the Japanese sensation. The distraction caused by Itami was enough to get Konnor and Viktor off their game, as the Lucha Dragons retained the titles.

Even though this was only his third week on NXT programming, Itami already has made an impact and if he can knock off Konnor and Viktor in his first feud in NXT, it will solidify his spot as a main event player.
