Final Thoughts

This was a pretty fun episode of SmackDown. It may have only been because it was the 15th anniversary, but it certainly delivered. Here’s a few points from the show that I enjoyed:

  • Having John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long back for one night was really cool to see. They made the GM role very relevant during their time on TV.
  • The 15-man tag team match that they set up was surprisingly a lot of fun.
  • Dolph Ziggler losing to Rusev did not make much sense. He should have been fed a jobber like Fandango.
  • Dean Ambrose’s double under-hook DDT finisher is fine with me.
  • Contract on a pole match? Come on WWE!
