Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Mick Foley promo
Ambrose pulled a Seth Rollins dummy out of a duffel bag, he sat it down in a chair and began to talk to it.
He talked about Rollins doing The Authority’s dirty work. He then corrected himself and said that Rollins doesn’t like getting his hands dirty. So, he said the first thing he’ll do inside the Cell is rip Rollins’ hands off, as he ripped the hands off the dummy.
Ambrose then used a saw and a hammer, amongst other tools, on the dummy, as he talked about Rollins’ lack of “testicular fortitude”.
Eventually, this brought out Rollins, with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble by his side.
Rollins said that Ambrose clearly has a comedy career in his future, and that he can probably open for Carrot Top.
Rollins said he is a Mid-Western kid, just like the people in the crowd. He said the similarities end there. He said the people boo him, but that they’ll be hitting him up on social media later.
Rollins said he isn’t sweating Ambrose or the Hell in a Cell structure, and that brought out Hall of Famer Mick Foley.
Foley said he was here to visit an “old friend”, as he looked up at the Cell.
Foley talked about The Shield, and how dominant they were, and how that set the bar high for their potential singles careers.
Foley said that in almost any scenario he envisions, Rollins comes out on top over Ambrose. Rollins started to thank Foley for his input, but Foley emphasized “ALMOST any scenario”. He said that the Cell isn’t any ordinary scenario.
Foley talked about the damage the Cell did to him, and how proud he is of it. Ambrose said that he is ready, and if anybody in the world can understand Ambrose’s brand of crazy, it’s Foley. Ambrose said that Rollins will be asking himself “if it was worth it?” on Monday morning in a hospital bed.
Rollins said that he understands Ambrose better than anybody, and he knows what to expect from Ambrose.
Foley hyped the match, calling it the match that both men have been waiting a long time for, then he told them to “Have a Nice Day”.
Ambrose used a chair and the dummy to get the upper-hand and send Rollins up the ramp, as Mercury and Noble held Rollins back.
This was an awesome segment. It was great to see Foley back in a WWE ring, and it was part of a great hype segment for Rollins-Ambrose. Even though it was a little chaotic and congested, it has been a long time since a Hell in a Cell match deserved to be inside the Cell, and this one certainly fits that bill.
