The Authority, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton promo
Stephanie McMahon hyped up the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, and said the two Cell matches alone were worth the “price of admission”.
Triple H said the night was “bittersweet,” because even though Orton lost, Rollins beat Dean Ambrose, and proved why he is “the future of the WWE.”
Rollins thanked the crowd for their “warm” welcome, and said that Ambrose is finally out of his hair. Rollins said that he has proven that he is better than Ambrose, and that it is time to move on to the man who “soundly” defeated Orton last night.
Rollins said he will “see” John Cena later tonight, and the crowd will do the same when Rollins leaves Cena on his back, just like he did to Ambrose.
The Authority and Rollins started to celebrate, when Orton came to the ring.
Orton was absolutely irate. Orton was shouting about why his loss to Cena was mentioned so many times, while The Authority continued to build up Rollins’ confidence.
Orton brought up the curb stomp he took last week and said that he is still seeing stars from the move, he said that if The Authority won’t do anything about Rollins, he’ll have to take care of business himself.
Orton started to attack Rollins, but Triple H, Kane, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury separated them. Triple H yelled at Orton to try and calm him down, eventually giving him the night off. Orton eventually became fed up with listening to Triple H, and decided to just brush by him and hit Rollins with an RKO.
Rollins gave an incredible sell for the RKO, as he needed to be helped all the way up the ramp and looked completely out of it.
The beginning of the promo was a little weak, but it needed to be in order to set up the second half with Orton, which was fantastic. Orton and Triple H were great, and it will be interesting to see if this is finally the end of Orton’s relationship with The Authority.
