Sami Zayn and Titus O’Neil backstage

Zayn was talking about Adrian Neville’s claim that Zayn can’t win the “big one”. Zayn talked about his “road to redemption” which he will complete by winning the NXT Championship.

Titus interrupted and said that Zayn doesn’t even get a shot at Neville’s title, since he can’t even beat Titus.

Zayn asked if this was a challenge, but Titus clarified that it was an “open invitation”.

Nice segment, and it brought some heat to the Zayn-Titus rematch.

#1 Contenders’ Tag Team Battle Royal

The Vaudevillains and The Ascension were the only teams that got entrances.

It came down to The Ascension and Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, and The Ascension eliminated them by throwing Enzo over the top rope, and into Big Cass, who was standing on the apron.

The match seemed to be over, and Hideo Itami came out to the stage. That’s when The Vaudevillains, who were never officially eliminated, got back in the ring and eliminated The Ascension.

The Vaudevillains win by last eliminating The Ascension.

2 out of 5 stars – This could have been a lot better if they cut out three minutes of it. They didn’t have many teams for it to be as long as it was.

Konnor told Itami to go home, because nobody wants him in NXT. He warned him that they would send him home in a box, if he doesn’t just go on his own.

I really like what they’re doing with The Ascension and Itami, especially considering I read the spoilers, and I know what they’re doing next week.
