Vince McMahon promo
Vince came out with The Authority and asked if the crowd missed him, which got a big pop.
Vince hyped the WWE Network being completely free for the month of November, including Survivor Series.
He talked about the Traditional Survivor Series Match, but said that it wasn’t enough. Vince then announced that if Team Authority loses, The Authority are no longer in power.
This brought an abrupt end to things, as Vince invited The Authority to the back to discuss things.
As they were set to leave, Dean Ambrose came out for his match, and Vince met him on the ramp to shake his hand. The two spoke for a second, then looked at The Authority and laughed.
This was a really weird promo, but it accomplished what it needed to. It felt like Vince’s presence threw things out of whack, and that’s exactly how it should’ve felt. Vince should be putting everybody on edge, which is what he did to The Authority promo, and they haven’t been on edge in a long time.
Vince McMahon and The Authority backstage
Vince sort of apologized for springing that stipulation on The Authority, but said that he always liked surprises. Triple H said nothing Vince does surprises him.
Vince got set to leave and said he trusted The Authority. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon took turns saying that Vince had nothing to worry about, which angered Vince since he already told them that he trusted them.
After Vince left, Triple H asked Stephanie what just happened, and she said she didn’t know.
Rough start to the night for The Authority. I’m very interested to see how they will handle this.
