Fandango

WWE.com

Fandango has been missing in action since he fell victim of two women scorned in the shapely forms of former dance partners Summer Rae and Layla. Whilst he was gifted a debut at WrestleMania 29 and defeated Chris Jericho in the process, his career has been decidedly stale since then. After injury cost him a likely Intercontinental Championship reign, the rest of his time on the main roster has been filled with dancing contests and comedy feuds with Tons of Funk and Santino Marella. Fandango is funny and his theme music gets people on their feet, but it has become hard to take him as a serious threat for titles or even victories at this point.

A stint down at NXT could unlock a new aggression in his character that has yet to been explored. His flamboyance in the ring could remain the same, but it would incorporate a more desperate and fervent side that looks to win at all costs and take all shortcuts necessary, like a modern-day Honky Tonk Man. Or, it could be an ideal time to make a gimmick change. Fandango has already shifted from Johnny Curtis in a former life, and maybe Fandango has performed his last tango.
