Superstars That Could Revive Their Careers At NXT
Kofi Kingston

If there was any superstar that required a breath of fresh air in WWE, it is undoubtedly Kofi Kingston. Kingston was seemingly headed in an intriguing direction in a faction with Big E and Xavier Woods, but that has apparently fallen through with Woods going through a gimmick change. Kingston has thus been relegated to enhancement talent, brought in when other superstars need to be made to look good, like Seth Rollins, Rusev and Cesaro. It is a shame for the former Intercontinental, US and Tag Team Champion that he has now become little more than a spot monkey in Battle Royals and ladder matches.
Kingston could do wonders in NXT. His in-ring ability has never been in doubt, but his character and lack of personality have held him back since his botched feud with Randy Orton in 2009. He could arrive in the developmental territory as his own self, doing his usual shtick, until a heel, along the lines of Tyler Breeze or Sylvester Lefort get in his head about his irrelevance on the main shows. This could cause Kingston to snap, turn heel and mix his high-flying offense with a new aggressive edge that looks to win and establish the legacy and championships he feels he is earned. This new side would get over in a big way due to his years with the company in the same gimmick, and unlike John Cena, he doesn’t shift enough merchandise to make this an unnecessary risk.
