Dash Wilder vs. Tyson Kidd
Kidd controlled most of the match. Wilder got a little offense in though, and Kidd sold well for him.
Kidd got the win with a Sharpshooter, which drew some “Nattie’s Better” chants.
Kidd defeats Wilder via submission.
Not much to see here, other than a run-of-the-mill squash match. Kidd needed it though.
Marcus Louis backstage
Louis had a towel around his head, and he was having a bit of a breakdown. He kept repeating the same sentence: “They won’t stop making fun of me.”
Louis getting his head shaved could be much more of a character change than we anticipated.
Sami Zayn w/ Renee Young
Zayn said he felt good about his win. He said that his “road to redemption” feels good, and it’s not just some meaningless tagline.
He said he feels like he’s coming to the end of that road, and that he wants to face Adrian Neville for the title next week.
Good promo. Zayn is one of the most popular guys in NXT, so he’s always had momentum, but he’s done a good job of selling the building momentum in this storyline.
