Viktor said they tried to be clear with Hideo Itami, but that he’s not getting the message. Konnor asked Itami to come out, so that they could finish what they started.
Itami came out to the ramp and stared down to the ring, then a smile came across his face and he turned towards the curtain. The name “Finn Balor” appeared on the Tron, and out walked the man formerly known as Prince Devitt.
Itami and Balor took a few steps towards the ring, before they broke out in a sprint and proceeded to lay waste to both members of The Ascension. It was a vicious beatdown that saw the former NXT Tag Team Champions look like chumps, but it made Itami and Balor look like champs, which was desperately needed for the highly-touted newcomers.

However, don’t forget about Konnor and Viktor, who sold great for Itami and Balor. It becomes even more impressive when you consider that they hadn’t done much selling for over a year, during their dominant reign with those tag titles.
It was a great debut. It does however beg the question about when we’ll see the third man from the trio of huge signings from over the summer…
