Nobody in the modern era has made more of a career out of his Survivor Series performances than Randy Orton. The Viper and former Legend Killer was earmarked for greatness early in his run, and he seemingly chose the Thanksgiving time to outshine all others, past and present. With Survivor Series appearing less significant every year, the master of the RKO looks to inject excitement and surprise into the elimination match, creating a story that more often than not carries the entire show.

As the young star, Orton used the elimination match to make a name for himself as a survivor and predator. His first three came in consecutive years and he was sole survivor in all of them. Not only that, but he scored the decisive pinfalls over legendary names Shawn Michaels and Triple H to show that he was carving out an illustrious career of his own. In later years his record of victories hasn’t been so pristine, but now he is the Survivor Series legend that the latest prospects are looking to make a name off of. His performances in matches helped project the careers of Wade Barrett, Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler, as being able to halt the irresistible force of Orton at this event is an accomplishment worth noting.
