WWE Survivor Series Predictions: Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt
By Mike Smith
At WWE Survivor Series, Dean Ambrose will step in the ring with Bray Wyatt and finally get his hands on the man who has tried to terrorize him at every turn since WWE Hell in a Cell.
At the October pay-per-view, Ambrose was inside the Cell, in a main event match against his greatest rival, Seth Rollins. Ambrose seemed set to win the match, when the lights cut, and a lantern appeared in the ring. Ambrose was distracted by the lantern, which allowed Wyatt to run in and attack Ambrose, and leave him laying for Rollins to cover for the win. After that match, Wyatt would hit Ambrose with Sister Abigail.

Since then, Wyatt has tried to make Ambrose a follower any chance he gets, but Ambrose has been defiant, and he has even frustrated Wyatt at many times.
Something has to give when these two meet on Sunday, but who will let their guard down first? Rob Wolkenbrod, Jordan Campbell, Luher Fraser, Callum Wiggins, Becca Cook, Carl Gac, and Mike Smith have some predictions.
Rob’s Take: This feud should be so much better than it has been, but it just hasn’t received the proper on-screen time that was needed to build it up, unless the plan is to extend it through the rest of the year.
I’m expecting a pretty good match here. Both of these guys have the ability to perform at a very high level to satisfy the fans, and I fully expect that here.
It’s so tough to decide who will win this one. While Bray Wyatt winning would make plenty of sense after returning from his month-long layoff. Dean Ambrose really needs the PPV win as well, since he went 0-2 against Seth Rollins. For that reason, I’m giving the Lunatic Fringe the win in what should end up being a best-of-three rivalry.
Rob’s Prediction: Dean Ambrose
Jordan’s Take: The Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose match will be the match of the night. That is why it’s unfortunate that the buildup to this match has been given limited exposure with WWE putting all of their efforts into the Team Cena and Team Authority match. With the exception of Seth Rollins, there is no question that Wyatt and Ambrose are the best young talents that WWE has on their main roster. A case can be made for either superstar winning on Sunday. But the prediction here is that Wyatt wins as a way to add more substance to an Ambrose victory at TLC.
Jordan’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt
Luther’s Take: I see this ending in a no contest or an Ambrose win. Surely, WWE can’t have the lunatic fringe and there most over face beaten again? Oh what am I saying look what happened to Bryan.
Luther’s Prediction: Dean Ambrose
Callum’s Take: After assaulting Dean Ambrose at the conclusion of his Hell in a Cell match, Bray Wyatt has been characteristically cryptic in his reasoning. The Cult Leader has depicted similarities between the two, stating that he could help Ambrose. But the Lunatic Fringe’s response has been typical also, in that he has shown no hesitation in taking the fight to Wyatt at any opportunity. On RAW, he finally got his hands on him until he escaped to the stage.
This should be an aggressive affair, that starts out with fists flying before Wyatt slows the pace with his methodical offense. This could either give the match a compelling story or will kill it completely, which has become the pattern of all of Wyatt’s matches. In the end, although Ambrose is in desperate need of a PPV singles victory this year, Wyatt should come out the victor, leading to a rematch at TLC.
Callum’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt
Becca’s Take: Both of these men have the ability to put on a very good show and to tell a story during the match with their “not sane” gimmicks. If they click in the ring, it could be something magnificent. For this match, I’m going to say that Bray will get the win, but I’m sure they’ll have a rematch at TLC where Dean will take the victory.
Becca’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt
Carl’s Take: Without doubt two of the men that will carry the company for the next 10 years face off in this match
This match has the potential to steal the show and I think it probably will. There’s been a lot of talk from the two since Hell in a Cell but little action.
All the stuff about Ambrose’s past from Wyatt will come into play here in some way, maybe a fake family member makes an appearance or something similar before costing Ambrose the match. That sets up the rematch under TLC rules in a few weeks time.
Carl’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt
Mike’s Take: As much as Ambrose needs a win, Wyatt needs it more.
After being off TV for a bit, Wyatt really needs to come back with a bang. Ambrose should get the win back at TLC, then they can rematch at Royal Rumble.
Mike’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt
