WWE Survivor Series Predictions: Gold and Stardust Defend The WWE Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4-Way
By Mike Smith
This Sunday, Gold and Stardust will put their WWE Tag Team Championship on the line in a Fatal 4-Way against The Usos, Los Matadores, and The Miz and Damien Mizdow.
After the four teams traded victories over the past couple of weeks, it was announced that they would all compete at WWE Survivor Series for a shot at the tag team gold.
We have some predictions from Rob Wolkenbrod, Jordan Campbell, Luther Fraser, Callum Wiggins, Becca Cook, Carl Gac, and Mike Smith.
Rob’s Take: This is going to be a lot of fun to watch because of the amount of time it will get and the fact that all of these teams involved can make a match very exciting.
Gold and Stardust are going to retain their titles for a couple of reasons:
- There’s no way Los Matadores walks out with the titles after being a comedy show for the past twelve months on programming.
- With The Miz and Damien Sandow teasing tension for the past few weeks, they’ll turn on each other during the match and cost themselves a chance at the titles.
- The Usos just had the Tag Team Championship for a good portion of the year. It would be hard to believe if they took the titles yet again.
Rob’s Prediction: Gold and Stardust

Jordan’s Take: It may be just be me, but it seems like the Tag Team Division in WWE sucks. Lets be honest for a moment, whatever team wins this match will likely be keeping the titles warm for The Ascension. Guess here is that The Usos will win this match.
Jordan’s Prediction: The Usos
Luther’s Take: Miz and Mizdow to cheat and find a way to win. Not a massive fan of the gimmick but they are winning me over.
Luther’s Prediction: The Miz and Damien Mizdow
Callum’s Take: Gold and Stardust have not exactly had the most fruitful or exciting Tag Team Championship reign. They have been on the losing end of a number of matches against The Usos and Los Matadores in the past two months. However, the golden brothers have managed to shine when the titles are at stake. Thus, it seems unlikely that this situation will change on Sunday.
The only team that possibly could take the belts away from them is The Miz and Damien Mizdow. Although some dissension has developed between them over the stunt double’s popularity over the movie star, their partnership still has legs and has gotten over strongly. They could make a run with the titles work to facilitate their eventual break-up, but on the whole keeping them on Gold and Stardust seems the most likely scenario.
Callum’s Prediction: Gold and Stardust
Becca’s Take: This match would make a bit more sense if Los Matadores weren’t in it, but it should still be a great match. I can’t see The Usos winning their titles back just yet, and I also don’t think this pay-per-view is quite the right time for Miz and Mizdow to become champions. I’ll predict that the Dusts will retain, but I’ll be watching Damien Mizdow for most of the match.
Becca’s Prediction: Gold and Stardust
Carl’s Take: I’m hoping for a Goldust/Stardust win in this one.
If you watch WWE TV regularly, the tag division doesn’t seem to be taken that seriously, with its members being jobbed to the big stars in recent months on Raw and SmackDown.
Seemingly, these are the only tag teams the company has, but with a rumoured return for the Dudleys, and the rise of The Ascension from NXT, that could all be about to change.
A side note should be the Miz and Mizdow factor. I really hope that the company doesn’t break them up any time soon, Mizdow is one of the best things on wrestling TV anywhere right now. My instincts tell me that’s gonna happen soon though and this match will only see the two push themselves further apart.
Carl’s Prediction: Gold and Stardust
Mike’s Take: I don’t really see anything of note happening in this match.
The Tag Team Division has no real direction right now, and I don’t see that changing.
Mike’s Prediction: Gold and Stardust
We have 5 picking Gold and Stardust, one picking The Usos, one picking Miz and Mizdow, but none of us are picking Los Matadores. Who do you think will walk out as tag champs? Let us know in the comments section below.
