Following the outcome of the epic Team Cena vs. Team Authority main event at Survivor Series 2014, the Authority are no longer in power in WWE. The dictatorship that had formed under Triple H and Stephanie McMahon has fallen asunder, thanks to the heroic efforts of Dolph Ziggler and the highly-anticipated debut of Sting. Although there is speculation that their reluctant departure is going to be a short-term occurrence, for the time being their tyrannical reign over the WWE and its superstars has come to an end.

However, that leaves a burning question for fans to mull over: who is going to run the show in the absence of the Authority? With Triple H and Stephanie running the show since late 2011, this moment is a dramatic shift in the hierarchy of the programs. This week, Daniel Bryan took charge of proceedings in a proverbial two fingers to the regime of the Authority. However, as he is currently on the shelf awaiting the all-clear for a return from injury, Bryan is a wrestler rather than a long-term authority figure. His brief reign will be replaced next week by “Cyber Monday”, featuring the return of the “beloved” Anonymous GM computer.

With the Authority gone then it seems that for the moment the product is being passed around some temporary managers, similar to the celebrity guest hosts of the past. But, considering that concept more often than not sunk like a stone, hopefully these are just a short excursion before a permanent replacement is assigned. That raises the question of who would be the ideal person to lead the WWE into a new age, and be in charge of booking in a public capacity?
