5. Sting

This choice makes the most sense in light of the events of Survivor Series. Sting practically blew the roof off the arena Sunday night when he finally stepped into a WWE ring for the first time. A six-time WCW Champion and previously a legendary figure in TNA, the Stinger cost the Authority their chance at screwing Team Cena out of the victory at Survivor Series when he interjected in the match and dropped Triple H on the back of his head. For this moment to make any sense going forward beyond its shock value, Sting should place himself in the frame to become the new General Manager.

Sting has strong promo skills, and due to his freshness in the company, will continue to receive fantastic reactions despite his advanced years and poor entrance music. This will allow him to explain his actions, likely surrounding the Authority being an unjust and manipulative corporation that he could not abide. Sting could as a figure stand for justice and equality for all, rewarding any superstar going through a successful run with opportunities and never pick favorites.

Sting also has experience when he was in charge in TNA in the last couple of years. As a deranged authority figure he demonstrated some potential, but he would probably benefit from being an overseer that craved justice above all, and would go to great lengths to ensure that would be the case.

Of course, there is the argument that Sting would likely be placed in the ring before he would become a potential General Manager. Rumor has suggested that he has matches against the likes of Triple H and the Undertaker lined up in his future, and after they have drained any matches from the 55-year old that he has left, then he can concentrate on being a non-wrestling personality. But, for the sake of the story and building upon a remarkable moment at Survivor Series, WWE should definitely consider placing him in charge.
