Erick Rowan vs. Luke Harper
Harper came out strong, but Rowan, who has been ugly in the ring at times, looked good as he took over.
The two went back-and-forth, brawling to the outside, until Harper used a ladder to get a DQ.
Rowan defeats Harper via DQ.
After the match, Harper looked to continue his attack, but Rowan countered, got a hold of the stairs and completely destroyed Harper and sent him to the back.
2.5 out of 5 stars – The good: Rowan looked great. The bad: The Intercontinental Champion looked terrible heading into a title match on Sunday.
Naomi and The Usos backstage
The Usos were celebrating their Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year, and Naomi congratulated them.
Jey left his brother to be alone with his wife, and Naomi revealed to Jimmy that The Miz’s agent called, and that she had a meeting with him this week.
Jimmy wasn’t sure and said that he would go to the meeting with her. Naomi was upset with Jimmy’s lack of trust and ended up storming off.
Jimmy continues to do a good job of expanding his character. He used to be a happy-go-lucky character, and nothing else, but this storyline has added a much-needed dimension.
