WWE TLC Predictions: Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt (TLC Match)

At WWE TLC, Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt are going to go one-on-one in a TLC Match. With nothing up-for-grabs, it’s safe to expect that this match will end by pinfall or submission.

This feud started back at WWE Hell in a Cell, when Ambrose was about to beat Seth Rollins in the main event, inside the Cell. Wyatt appeared from out of nowhere and took out Ambrose, allowing Rollins to steal the win.

Wyatt dug up some dark secrets from Ambrose’s past, leading up to their match at WWE Survivor Series. That match ended in a DQ, when Wyatt brought a chair into the ring, but Ambrose got his hands on it and used it, along with a few tables, before he stood atop a ladder and some referees came down to end the madness.

Ambrose and Wyatt have gone back-and-forth the past few weeks, with Wyatt seemingly less in control than he ever has been.

Who will stand tall when the carnage is over? Rob Wolkenbrod, Callum Wiggins, Brian Rzeppa, Carl Gac, and Mike Smith have some predictions:

Rob’s Take: This is a match I’m really looking forward to at TLC. After what we’ve seen between Wyatt and Ambrose since the end of October, we should expect a vicious brawl between these two with plenty of spots to get the crowd on its feet. This should be the main event, but with John Cena’s #1 Contender’s spot on the line, it won’t.

This feud has to go to a third match. It would be surprising if it didn’t, I see Wyatt getting the upper-hand in this one after the beating he took at Survivor Series, the destruction of the rocking chair, and Ambrose attacking him from the ambulance.

Rob’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt

Callum’s Take: This should be a fun match if nothing else. The feud between these two has centered on both trading violent spots with the various weapons available to them, even if the surrounding story has been somewhat muddled. Ambrose has previously demonstrated his creativity in gimmick matches, already sending the Lumberjack match and Hell in a Cell to new heights in the PG Era. Wyatt has also produced some of his best work when disqualifications are cast aside, such as the Last Man Standing match against John Cena at Payback.

As for the result, since Wyatt picked up the victory at Survivor Series, Ambrose should respond here with a victory. Both participants should feature in the Royal Rumble, so this match should bring the conclusion to their brief feud. Ambrose has often found himself on the short-end of the stick when it comes to PPVs, but the final one of the year should finally offer him some reprieve. The only question is how many tables they will go through to get to that result – I’m guessing seven.

Callum’s Prediction: Dean Ambrose

Brian’s Take: Going into this rivalry, Ambrose was probably the hottest commodity that WWE had to offer. Whether it was his hot dog cart incident, him popping out of boxes or any number of ways to roil Seth Rollins, Ambrose was white hot. Unfortunately, due to his feud with Bray Wyatt, each performer has cooled off a bit. The rivalry itself has been pretty interesting and although it has been featured prominently on Smackdown, it hasn’t been given as much time as it deserves on RAW.

Putting these two in a high-impact TLC match should get things on the right track, as they both have the potential to be portrayed as vicious and aggressive. While Ambrose had all of the momentum in the world heading into this feud, it’s clear that Wyatt needs this win desperately. There may be some shenanigans regarding the finish, but I expect “The Eater of Worlds” to win this one.

Brian’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt

Carl’s Take: After the Survivor Series match ended in the way it did, I couldn’t think of anyone better to give the TLC match to. There’s still a lot to come from both of these guys but I can see Bray getting the win here to set up another match at Royal Rumble. Having said that, I can’t see this being the classic it should be, mainly due to the PG era being well and truly here to stay. Bray needs to show why he’s a top quality heel at the top of his game and I think he’ll do that here by going all out for the win. I hate to think of the messed up things that he’ll probably be planning. Both men will come out of this match strongly, but I think Bray gets the win here to keep the feud going into 2015.

Carl’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt

Mike’s Take: Let me start by saying that Ambrose is my favorite wrestler right now. Now, having said that, I hate this feud.

No, I take that back, hate’s a strong word. I’m just extremely disappointed.

I have not enjoyed Wyatt in some time. It has nothing to do with how his feud with Cena ended, because it ended with the best Last Man Standing Match ever. It has nothing to do with his booking, or whatever some people may point to. I’m done with Wyatt because he has not evolved his character.

He had a great feud with Daniel Bryan for the final months of 2013, up to the 2014 Royal Rumble. He was part of an awesome feud between The Wyatt Family and The Shield back in February. He had a very entertaining feud with Cena in the months that followed. He helped Luke Harper evolve, he helped Erick Rowan evolve, he even helped Dean Ambrose evolve. Yet, he has failed to do it himself.

Every week we hear the same things from Wyatt, and it’s time for a change. No matter how different you are, one rule remains the same: If you don’t evolve, you will be left behind. Wyatt’s going to win here because WWE is behind this feud, for now, but I do believe that Wyatt is in danger of being left behind.

Mike’s Prediction: Bray Wyatt
