WWE TLC Predictions: The New Day vs. Gold and Stardust

On Sunday, The New Day will battle Gold and Stardust at WWE TLC on the Kickoff Show. Ever since the debut of The New Day, Gold and Stardust have made it their mission to block out their light and bring darkness. They slightly accomplished that goal by interfering in Tag Team Turmoil, stopping The New Day from becoming #1 Contenders. Can they do it again on the Kickoff Show.

Rob Wolkenbrod’s Take: There isn’t much significance to this match other than Gold and Stardust putting over The New Day and raising their stock in the tag team division. They should have an okay match to begin TLC.
Rob’s Prediction: The New Day
Callum Wiggins’ Take: The Kickoff Show in a rare turn of events actually has had some build surrounding it, which is refreshing to see. However, it shouldn’t turn many heads into watching this match, as the outcome is fairly predictable. The New Day have only recently debuted, and need results to help them try and get over with the WWE audience. Currently, they haven’t been achieving much of a reaction, so will undoubtedly get a win of Gold and Stardust in an attempt to rectify that situation.
Callum’s Prediction: The New Day
Brian Rzeppa’s Take: I, like many others, haven’t really formed an opinion of The New Day quite yet. They’re certainly enjoying their characters, but I just feel that there is going to be something more to them beyond the characteristics that they are currently showing. On the other side, there have been some cracks in the armor of the team of Goldust and Stardust and we could see that play a role in this kick-off match.
Either way, this is probably going to be a fun match to get the night started. Given that The New Day just recently debuted, I think they’ll end up on top here. While I wouldn’t say that Goldust and Stardust will break up here, I would watch out for some tension between the two.
Brian’s Prediction: The New Day
Carl Gac’s Take: The companies newest hot stable needs the win here to keep their early momentum going. So far the three members have all gelled well and look like they’re all welcome of the renewed chance for a decent push. A shot against the Dust brothers is a good way to build them up, with a feud to follow there’s a lot to come from The New Day.
Carl’s Prediction: The New Day
Mike Smith’s Take: The New Day will win. Big E will allow his finisher to look less cool by having one of his partners help him hit it.
