The Dark and Crazy Horse – Dean Ambrose

WWE.com

The Lunatic Fringe has had a mixed 2014 to say the least. Whilst Dean Ambrose has unquestionably become one of most over stars in the company, he hasn’t exactly been successful in the results department. Since leaving the Shield, he has been on the losing ends of extended feuds with Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. Of course, he sneaked in a victory on RAW over John Cena in the process, and has featured in the main event of three of the PPVs.

Could he possibly be considered a genuine contender for the Royal Rumble? Possibly. With Roman Reigns the backstage favorite and the man they have selected to push to the limit, it has been Ambrose that has captured the fans’ imaginations with his innovation and extreme personality. Ambrose is the crowd choice, but whether that would persuade the creative team to alter their plans is questionable.

Whilst he has already proven that he can match up against Cena, Brock Lesnar is an entirely different prospect altogether. Ambrose has been putting his body on the line in matches, and would sustain Lesnar’s punishment with a smile. However, he is vulnerable, and even though he has put his body through hell, his inability to translate these into victories has shown he can’t get the job done. Also, with his feud with Bray Wyatt lacking a conclusive finish thus far, it is still unsure as to whether he will even feature in the Rumble at this moment.
