Lana promo
Lana said that Rusev has not disrespected us, like we have disrespected him. She vowed that Rusev would “crush” his opponent, no matter who it is, then Dean Ambrose made his entrance.
Rusev vs. Dean Ambrose for the United States Championship
After a couple of strikes from Ambrose, Rusev countered with some strikes of his own, taking over the match. It wasn’t for long, though, as The Lunatic Fringe got back into the match with his chaotic style of offense. However, he got a little overzealous, and Rusev took over.
Rusev had a pretty long beat down on Ambrose, until Ambrose started to come back. Ambrose’s comeback brought the match to the outside, which is when Bray Wyatt came out and attacked him to cause a DQ.
Ambrose defeats Rusev via DQ. Rusev retains.
After the match, Wyatt continued to attack and set Ambrose up for Sister Abigail. Ambrose countered that and the brawl continued. The two men went tumbling over the announce table, before Wyatt sent Ambrose into the time keeper’s area. Wyatt was ready to continue the attack, until Ambrose emerged by striking Wyatt with a steel chair. Ambrose looked to continue the chair attack in the ring, but Wyatt escaped up the ramp.
2.75 out of 5 stars – Pretty good match. Unfortunately, Ambrose/Wyatt seems like the never-ending feud, and with The Undertaker rumors, Ambrose is in a very unfavorable position.
