Daniel Bryan promo
Bryan came out and said that nobody believed in the “B+ player” from Aberdeen, Washington, except the WWE Universe, and that the WWE Universe is the reason he got a shot, and they’re the reason he beat Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista at WrestleMania XXX. He said that was the greatest week of his life, because five days later he married Brie Bella.
That’s where it all ended though. When they returned from their honeymoon, his dad died, and a month later, he had the injury that has kept him out of action all this time.
Bryan said that doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, and that he had a big decision to make, because he wasn’t healing.
Bryan said that being in the ring is what makes him happiest. He said nobody cheered louder than he did when Dolph Ziggler pinned Seth Rollins, putting The Authority out of power at Survivor Series, but that the moment was ruined because he couldn’t get in the ring with them.
He teased retirement, but said that he wouldn’t let his career end this way, which got a huge pop. He then announced that he would be in the Royal Rumble, sparking a huge “Yes” chant.
They were building to this moment all night, and the crowd really believed that he was going to retire. Awesome moment.
