Edge, Christian, Paul Heyman and John Cena promo

Christian started by announcing a Peep Show for later in the night, and the two did some of their classic bickering, because Edge wanted to do a Cutting Edge. They eventually decided on a Cutting Edge Peep Show, with guest Seth Rollins.

They hyped the events of the night, like the announcement from Daniel Bryan, a match between Rollins and Roman Reigns, and a Champion vs. Champion Match between Dolph Ziggler and Rusev.

They were set to do a Five Second Pose, but they were interrupted by Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar came down to the ring, and Heyman mocked Edge and Christian for their career-ending injuries, and promised them that Lesnar wouldn’t hurt them because he had no reason to. He said that the only neck Lesnar wants to break, the only career he wants to end, belongs to Cena, which is when Cena made his entrance.

Cena came down, as Edge and Christian made their exit, and said he didn’t want to knock Lesnar out because he didn’t want to give him an excuse if he lost at Royal Rumble.

Cena said he came with a resolution and a gift. The resolution is to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Lesnar, and the gift was for Heyman. Cena grabbed Heyman by the collar, which only served to sucker Lesnar in, as Cena lifted Lesnar for an AA, but Lesnar shook himself free and retreated with Heyman.

Fun stuff from Edge and Christian, and it translated well into the promo with Lesnar, Heyman and Cena. The short back-and-forth with those three was very good, and the almost AA was a perfect way to kick this rivalry back up, as we can probably expect to see Heyman and Cena focus in on this match for the next three weeks.
